Remember most kids his age are coming back for their junior year of college. He will be making his major league debut by the time they graduate at around 23 or 24...

Also most boys really start to fill out around the 23 to 25 age range adding muscle and bulk to their frame.

Corcino faltered a bit in the 7th, gave up a couple runs--shooting his ERA back up to 3.16--and was relieved by Drew Hayes, who gave up another. Justin Freeman, who has lately found the key to something or other, went the final 2.1 without surrendering a hit. Final 6-3. Barnhart was 2-3.

Kyle Waldrop had a couple hits in Dayton's 8-3 loss.

Pensacola holds on for a 6-3 victory. David Vidal with a three-run bomb and two runs scored. Tucker Barnhart with a couple of base knocks. Justin Freeman saved the game with 2.1 innings of hitless, walkless baseball. He struck out 3.

Stephenson's line for Billings: 3.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K. Then Nick Routt got slapped around. The horses trail 9-3 after five.

Of course, Winker is 1-1 with a walk.

Robert Stephenson had a so-so outing. He pitched into the fourth going 3.1 IP 5H 3R 1ER 2BB 2K. Nick Routt followed with an ugly 2/3s giving up 6R 5ER 3H 1BB 1K. Nolan Becker came on and gave up hits to the first two batters he faced. It's getting ugly. 9-3 in the bottom of the sixth.

It's not easy being Wagner Gomez. He's 2-2 with a double and all we care about is Winker's 1-1 with a walk.

Winker was asked to sacrifice. Would that be similar to asking Joey Votto to sacrifice?

It's asking Pavarotti to hum along.

The good news is that Great Falls only has 11 runs in the fifth inning. The bad news is they're still batting.

Garrett only went 1.2 innings, no doubt by design. He gave up three hits and three runs, with two walks and strikeouts.

Great Falls scored only one more that inning, making it 12, for a 15-3 lead after five. But if Billings can get 11 guys on base for Winker . . .
