The Reds have been way better this year than I ever thought they'd be.

Might be time to see if anyone in Gonelong's prediction thread has already been eliminated.

Thanks for painting the picture on the final play.

So Pittsburgh has lost, but since they & St. Louis were tied in the loss column, if the Cards hang on and win, the magic number only goes down by one for the win, right?

The Reds only have to worry about themselves.

At worst, they'll be 8 up over the Cardinals.

Right, the magic number is at 31 regardless of the result tonight. If the Cards lose, it's 31 over the Pirates, and 30 over the Cardinals, if I'm doing that right.

Won't matter, the Cards are going to win.

I may be - or it's very close. And I am happy about that

ABack to back road wins against a very tough Phils club. Showed large nads.

I just checked. 4 posters have predictions in the 70s. Top6 and mfs at 72 and 74. I'm sure they're thrilled to be way wrong.

Yes that is right. Magic number is currently 31 to eliminate St. Louis and 30 for Pittsburgh

We've run our bottom 3 starters out there against Halladay, Lee and Worley. And we're without Joey Votto. And we've won 2 of 3. Unreal.

Elephant in the room. (not a horrible one)

Frazier has played to Votto's level the past month. The Reds aren't gonna be that much better looking once Votto returns.

But they could be with a healthy Votto and Frazier playing everyday 3B. Bad thing about it is that probably won't happen.
