Brewers/Cubs playing the role well of the Reds teams from the Lost Decade. That was the only late season excitement back in those days - winning 3 of 4 from the contending Cubs in the late season.

Reds now 2-5 in the last seven games vs. the Brew-ha-has

That's a wrap. They teased us with St Louis and LA and fall on their face against the Cubs and Brewers. Have mercy.

Cards/Ms going to extras. Matt Adams didn't homer bottom 9 for a change, making the final out.

    My weekend wish? An analogy.

That as the Brewers are to the Reds, the Ms will be to the RedBirds.

The first one definitely was un catchable for him.

I agree as he never lays out a la Andruw Jones, Marlon Byrd or really many/most CF/OF....he does slide a lot to make catches but some require the little extra the full dive gives you.

Jay Bruce and Chris Heisey make every one of those catches.

Stubbs always killed me making zero diving catches and maybe 3-5 sliding catches in close to 500 games.

Wasn't their night and Brewers deserved the win more.

Cards/Dodgers gave us a glimpse, time to put up or shut up with the next five against the Brewers and Astros.

Lack of focus and team leadership. Really three pitiful efforts in the last four games since the season's shining bright spot of last weekend.

Reds outscored 23-18 over last 7 games. Average score is 3.3 - 2.6 in favor of the opposition.

39,000 to watch a team playing out the string. Milwaukee's a good baseball town.

The retractable seems to have worked well in bad weather Milwaukee along with moving over to the NL to form a huge natural rivalry with the Cubs.

Before 2001 the Brewers drew over 2M once in their history and Milwaukee was largely a baseball wasteland. Even 2002/2003 they were well below 2M in the new park.

Milwaukee is a good candidate to see the attendance plummet over the next couple of seasons. They are riding the season ticket wave from some good years pre-2012 and living the Ryan Braun lie.

Anyone notice the Mariners couldn't draw 10,000 the other night?

Wisconsin folks didn't take kindly to seeing the Braves steal out of town in the 60s, and it took a long long time for them to warm up to the Brewers. And Milwuakee was never an American League city. Plus the weather was always a factor until the new stadium was built. Baseball is not a cold weather game.

And they've scored all of 2 runs in their last 4 games, no more than 2 once in their last 8 games.

What's the point? (not being snide, am wondering what your post implies other than they've had, as usual, very capable pitching, and have for years now)

The Mariners announcers would bring Redszone in full meltdown mode. Just skewering the M's in the final half inning.
