Its a marathon, not a sprint. Its good to rest guys once in awhile. You can't play Bruce every game. You can't pitch Chapman every inning. You've got to look at the big picture.

Actually, I agreed with giving Bruce the night off against Santana. Posted to that effect.

Dusty resting his top RBI producer and power hitter in a Leake start seems like throwing in the towel. Bruce isn't that old

Pretty condescending post there. Just because I'm stuck in the Sundeck doesn't mean I'm clueless. I'm fully aware of the big picture and fully understand lefty-righty percentages. You aren't talking to a child here. I'm old enough to remember when star players routinely played 160 games a year, if healthy. I'm not suggesting another Cal Ripken streak, but when you only have two guys swinging the bat well, and you've already had numerous off days the first couple months, I'd like to see both those guys in the lineup. But I'm not freaking out about it. I made one post on the topic, before this. Now I'm done with it.

Force at second. Heisey hustling down the line prevents the double play.

I would run Heisey here. Why not? It's Ludwick.

Sorry nothing personal. but of all the complaints us redleg fans have, giving Bruce the day off against Santana doesn't seem to high up on the list.
