The Cardinals fast starts......it seems every year in the last 3.....remind me of the Dodgers from 1973-76.... young and full of vinegar.

Heisey grounds out to 3rd. Both Heisey and Cozart fail to move the runner over from 2nd.

According to Teamrankings.com, the Reds are second worst in MLB in leaving RISP on base.

Is it just my imagination or do Reds hitters make a lot of weak contact in hitters counts? It's not just tonight, but so far Cozart, Frazier, and Heisey all weakly grounded out in 2-1 counts.

Guy on 2nd with no outs for two of our worst hitters. Neither even tried to go the other way.

Was that 4 pitch at bat the longest of Heisey's career?

    Pirates announcers are awful.

And yet, coming in today, with RISP, the Reds have scored the 4th-most runs in the league (OPS+ 113 w/RISP.)

Leaving runners on is a byproduct of scoring lots of runs.
