Yankee Stadium has given up far and away the most home runs that would have only been out in their home park this year. That right field is the biggest joke in baseball. Well, other than the Cubs franchise.

Werth homers in the bottom of the 9th to send that series to game 5.

There must be an unwritten mandate that all series in this round go five games.

LOL. You claim to be old-school then root for a team that got crushed in their own division again this year (even worse than they did last year). That is as new-school as it gets. You can root for your 2nd place team all you want, just don't claim to be old-school.

The Cardinals have been the biggest beneficiary in MLB of the watered-down playoff structure. Everyone knows it too. You can only be so proud of an 83-win team or 2nd place team that wins the World Series. It is a nice accomplishment but it is not as prestigious as being the best team.

Epic 13 pitch AB for Werth. Bruce had an epic 13 hit AB in the ninth of today's game and flew out. Game of inches.

Tigers are basically about to end the A's season now up 4-0 in the 7th and stil batting with the bases loaded.

At the same time the Orioles and Yankees are headed to the 13th

Orioles win. Amazing all 4 series go to a game 5. First time that has ever happened.

Thank you Orioles for saving my baseball day yesterday. After having a migraine most of the day, and even though I was still bumming hard for the Reds, that O's win last night lifted a little bit of the pain for me. At least I still have one team to root for in the playoffs!
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Yankees bench Alex Rodriguez for the deciding game of their ALDS. Wow.

Quite a pitchers duel in New York. In the middle of the 5th the teams have 1 hit combined

Looks like it was the right call. O's great season comes to an end. I feel for them.

No one else taking pleasure in the Cards getting whomped on? While it doesn't help our Reds anymore, I'm taking joy in it
