Re: The 2007-2008 Kentucky Wildcats basketball thread

This is from the kentucky ink message board:

I was at the game last night, and was down close to the floor watching the Cats warm up and noticed that the roof at Memorial Gym was leaking. Then during the game I noticed players slipping in under the basket. At what point does the SEC come in and tell a school that if they don't make things safer in there gym there won't be games held there? That place has got to be one of the worst places to watch a game in all of sports! With that said, Vandy is a very good team that put a good ole' ass whoopin on us last night.

    Bradley's clutch = 12-10. SEC POY? Not a chance.

A leak in the floor caused it, eh?

I thought it was the officials... http://kentucky.rivals.com/showmsg.a...id=888&style=2

I'm not, nor have I ever once, said anything besides Vandy kicked our butt.

I'm just saying fix the damn leaks in your gym.

I know... I just like rubbing salt in the wounds. I've had it done to me plenty. Remember who I'm married to. It's all in fun. Nonetheless, I can safely say I've never blamed a leaky roof.

I can't get to your link and I'm not going to register there. That is the only place I've heard there were leaks. Nothing mentioned on the broadcast... I've talked to three of my guys who were there, no mention of leaks. Nothing in the papers, either. Curious.

Oh I know you're just busting balls. I enjoy doing it too. All in good fun.

It's just too bad they don't hang banners for UK butt whoopins.

    # Kentucky leads the series 130-42. The Wildcats are 65-28 in Nashville and 40-24 in Memorial Gymnasium.

    # UK is 141-41 against SEC East teams since the split in 1992.

Kind of a good laugh I read on the IU scout board over Sampson. Somebody posted Gillispie as a candidate, but they didn't want him because of his actions(being a drunk, sleeping with Alex Legion's girlfriend)

The last one is news to me, btw.

Oh sure there are. All 341 teams start the season thinking about the Final 4.

Being one of the final 16, however, is pretty damn good. UK fans seem to forget that sometimes.

Course, they may have to forget what it feels like to make the Sweet 16 for a while.
