Nats aren't Reds rivals like the cards. At least not until they each do what they should do and make it past round 1 of the post season. I only smile when whomever the Reds, Nats or Red Sox are playing loses. And when the Yankees lose; the more they lose, the better.

You mean like Ondrusek who you mentioned earlier? Yeah that is a way better option. He was sent to Double A for a reason...and is only back here beacuse Marshall was hurt.

I know some of the veteran posters here get annoyed when newbie posters like myself second guess the manager, but Ondrusek should have been pitching the entire inning he was in.

I don't recall saying anything about dumping Hoover all year. But when a reliever is struggling like Hoover has been would it not make sense to only use him when the game isn't on the line? Like Dusty did at St.Louis on Monday when the Reds had a 9 run lead?
