Is Chris Denove a minor league FA?

I haven't seen him listed as such, but I just assumed that he is. If he isn't, he might split playing time in AA with Coddington. If a AAA catcher were promoted/injured, Denove would get the promotion.

Deno is not a free agent. 2011 is the last year of his contract.

Nice info! I hope you are right about all that talent starting in Dayton, the fans there need it. I have a feeling a few of those guys might start in high A.

That's good to hear. I always liked having him in the organization.

As someone who enjoys making spreadsheets, and knows how much time a small, easily-researched-for one takes, great job!

Did they re-sign Lehr? I don't recall seeing it, I probably just missed it.

Oh and Cam, great list. I think it's as close as it can get. The only things I think will be different is that I think Cochran and Gil will be in Triple-A and not repeat in Carolina. I think Gil has a better shot but you never know. I do think some guys at the higher and lower levels will get released in camp.

Yes, he was re-signed shortly after the season ended. And you're probably right about Gil and Cochran. You have to figure a couple of the veterans (Jerry Gil, Tom Cochran, Ruben Medina, Derrik Lutz, Travis Webb, James Avery, Lee Tabor) could be released before the season starts. A couple of them could be doing one last spring training to see if professional baseball is in their future.

I agree. Lutz though won't be ready until May or June.

And no on Gil getting released since he was just put on the 40.

Great work, camisa. Really enjoyable to look over. A few minor tweaks I'd suggest/echo...

Agree with Beni that HRod and Rojas will be starting somewhere. Cisco is a starter, that's a lock. I don't see Juan Silva getting promoted ahead of Jefry Sierra. Nor do I see Tanner Robles having to repeat Billings. He pitched well last year, and he's a college guy who they drafted relatively high. Also, I don't see Torreyes repeating the AZL. He's the same age as Yorman and also from Venezuela. They gave him a taste at Dayton last year. If Yorman's there, I think there's a good chance Torreyes will be too.

I don't believe Gil was added to the 40.

Yea, I have no idea what I was thinking on that. Wow. I'm not on my game at all. Guess break is messing with my thinking. My bad.

Catching is interesting. I have to wonder if Grandal will start in AA.

    Hanigan/Ramon MLB
    Mesoraco/Corky AAA
    Grandal/McMurray/Coddington AA
    Fleury/Wideman A+
    Barnhardt/Weems/Manz A
    Berset/Gonzalez RK+
    Viscioso/Harford/Sosa

Weems may be back in Billings. Weems is probably in most danger of being let go followed by McMurray and Wideman. Wonder if Soto or Vidal get any time behind the plate.

All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
