Reds are having a good week facing their former pitchers: Cordero, Roenicke and Belisle.

If we could have had guys on base it could be about 13-7

Not me. But I don't care what arm you throw with if 1/3 of the time you pitch you don't even give your defense a chance, you don't pitch. Doesn't mean the Reds stink or the criticism is overboard. Send him to AAA to try and find the strike zone. If he does, he can come up before Sept 1.

It would be nice to be getting much of anything out of Jay. The most remarkable thing about this streak is Votto's absence. The second most is Bruce's.

While you're right for sure I was talking about the fact that Bruce was on first with Ryan up the inning before but got thrown out stealing.

Who pitches the 8th? Marshall I guess unless Dusty temps fate by having Logan start the inning.

    I'd go with Marshall.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    He is tempting fate.

Looks like i just took about 40-50 games to shake off the "Petco effect" (he was injured most of the time in P'Burgh wasn't he)?

Jay puzzles me. Is it a work ethic thing? Don't know. When was the last time you saw him hit it in the gap between the left and right fielder? He's a dead pull hitter. Just pitch him outside, and he will roll over on one. Not a difficult scouting report.

During the streak, Cozart, Bruce, and for the most part Hanigan have been not good. That's 1/3 of the lineup. It's amazing what they've done.

Understood. I was just taking it a step further about Jay's game overall.

Basically they have a group red hot: Ludwick, Frazier, Phillips, Rolen and even Stubbs on this trip and then the group that is ice cold: Cozart, Bruce and Hanigan
