Well, they have an OF and a Catcher

Yet another small-college RHP in Round 15: James Walczak from Mercyhurst College. He's from Painesville.

I'm assuming they're counting on Yorman, Duran and a couple other IFAs to play in Sarasota and Billings, rounded out w/ draftees from this season.

Yeah, I've been wonderin'...What have Yorman and Duran been doing since they signed last year? Taking batting practice in Sarasota?

Nice note from the BA draft blog about 7th-rounder Josh Fellhauer:

A pair of versatile, athletic college center fielders went back-to-back at picks No. 209 and 210. First the Reds took Cal State Fullerton star Josh Fellhauer, and the Tigers followed by popping Oklahoma’s Jamie Johnson with the next pick. Both of these guys are outstanding baseball players with good speed, the ability to make consistent contact and excellent baseball instincts. Both were available in the seventh round because both are sub-six-footers, but both could wind up being steals.

    Walczak is intriguing.

Apparently this was the first year he pitched at Mercyhurst. He only logged 19.1 innings in 17 appearances as the team's closer. He struck out 23 and walked 11. He had a 0.93 ERA.

Gave up only two extra base hits out of 15.

So in a few years, we could have Homer pitching to Fowler?

    Fantastic name.
Too bad the Natinals didn't pick him.

Fowler is committed to Sou. Miss, 5-11 175 lbs. Throws to 2nd in 1.8 seconds. Fowler threw a kid out off his knees at second and two guys at first, rated best arm in Georgia. Hit over .400 as a switch hitter. Has some pop. Seriously this kid had to fall because of that committment. Already signed a LOI.
