The Spurs don't strike me as a "phone-it-in" type of ballclub. That is, however, an impossibly tall mountain to climb.

Nice of the Hawks to give the Magic a night off.

Hitters who avoid outs are the funnest.
Well, 3 of 4 lower seeded teams have been pounded now in their home openers. Hopefully the Jazz can buck the trend.
Interesting that the Jazz were 7 and 6 point dogs in Games 1 and 2 in L.A., and they're 4.5 point favorites tonight. Interesting dynamic where the Jazz almost never lose at home (though they split at home with the Lakers this year), but haven't won in L.A. in about 5 years.
Damn. Great game, but it's always going to be tough to beat the Lakers when Fischer and Artest shoot like that.
This second round is pretty awful. All three games in this series have been close, but it's over now. The Celtics still have a shot to make that series interesting, but it's hard to see them coming off the mat after last night.
The Jazz fought all the way to the finish and I would expect nothing less from a team coached by Jerry Sloan. When I said Utah had no chance at the beginning of the series I certainly wasn't trying to disrespect them as a team. I just felt that Kobe Bryant was going to be the difference in this series. I definitely don't want to see this come to fruition, but I sense the Lakers lifting the trophy again this season. Upsets welcomed here.
Jazz played a hell of a game, but with AK47 (evem though he played) and Okur hurt, they just don't have enough firepower to beat the Lakers.
That non-call when Fisher got mugged on the inbounds was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.
Did that make game four of the Cavs-Celtics series a Rajon Rondo statement game?

The Suns have really surprised me as to how they took care of the Spurs.
I think they'll play the Lakers better than the Jazz, but I'm afraid they'll suffer from the same match-up problems with the tall Lakers.
Nash got himself a good looking hamburger eye. Still plays well with one eye.
