Hmmm...anybody remember Richard Hand and his "Little Red Wagon" from the old Cincy.com board? Could they be the same Richard???

He's a character. A fraud. A fake. And not the least bit amusing. And one of the many reasons I never ever ever ever ever tune into Extra Innings. That show devolved into sewage years ago, unfortunately...
Tracy is forced to take one drunkard call after another on his wonderful show. At the end of the day Mr. Jones doesn't deserve to be lambasted by anyone on this board, ever. And isn't that what every drunk driver says to a cop after being pulled over? "I'm okay, really I am."
Tracy Jones is not a "turd bowl". He is highly intelligent, well mannered, and fills out a uniform like nobodies business.
geniusMoment, you just proved your name ironic with that last post. Jones is a remarkably boorish sports talk host, and delights in driving listeners away. At least he's consistent in that.
Alright, I'll type well so you understand me (painstaking as it is). You have no idea what I said or how I sounded on the phone.
The bottom line is that he went on and on about wanting to talk about baseball and people want to talk about other stuff (ie. Nick from Loveland), while all the while diverting the focus of his entire show to talk about Nick from Loveland. I wanted to talk about Eric Milton (ie. baseball); he wouldn't do it. I don't consider a show "wonderful" when it lets an idiot go on for ten minutes about nothing related to the show, then spends the rest of the show putting him down for the way he may or may not have been during high school. ?
And please don't tell me how he fills out a uniform. I know from people who fill out uniforms well, of this I can assure you.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
"Tracy jones is a turd bowl."
Hahahaha "turd bowl."
Quoted for truth.
Again, welcome to the board Tracy. No one is forced to take calls on a radio show. Last I heard, they have call screeners to take care of that. You can choose to take calls by fans who have serious points about baseball and discuss them in an intelligent manner, or you can choose to take the calls from the drunks because you think it's more entertaining. The fact that just about all of the sports talk hosts choose to take the drunk calls over those who might have a valid yet dissenting opinion shows that it's not about sports at WLW, it's about making fun of drunks and imbeciles. The only other people who get airtime are the ones who start with "Hi Marty/Tracy/Tom, love you love the show."
Wear gaudy colors, or avoid display. Lay a million eggs or give birth to one. The fittest shall survive, yet the unfit may live. Be like your ancestors or be different. We must repeat!
I was listening to the show after I left the Teamsters' today and I couldn't figure out who that was on the radio. I thought it was Skinner for a minute then decided it was Piecoro. Then, right about the time I got on 75 he started berating some caller and I knew then it was Tracy and I immediately changed the channel.
Holy smokes, I hope TC doesn't read vc's post.

Makes all the routine posts.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
Me and Mr. Jones, we got a thing going on,
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong to let it cool down now.
We meet ev'ry day at the same cafe,
Six-thirty I know he'll be there,
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favorite song.
Me and Mr., Mr. Jones, Mr. Jones, Mr. Jones,
School's out. What did you expect?
Genuismoment knows more about Tracy Jones than we do. After all, he listened to the show.
I couldn't have said this better myself. I think most RZ's listen hoping for it to be overly insightful with regard to baseball, but that's just not his show. There is a baseball element to it though. You have to take the show for what it's worth or you won't enjoy it. And he is a smart guy, don't kid yourselves. He may make some dumb comments here and there, but he has an opinion and it's hard not to respect that (even if it's not one that others agree with).
