    Commodore 64 Owners

Who used to own a C-64? My first home computer. Fondly remembered. Favorite game was Choplifter, but soon got into productivity software, like Paperback Writer. Got me started into databases which led me to a second career that's been going for 20 years.

I drove from Wichita Falls to Dallas to buy one at the unheard of price of $595 when they came out.

I used to play Super Bowl Sunday like crazy. The '81 Bengals were an offensive juggernaut and David Verser, of all people, was unstoppable.

My first computer as well. Best games ever. Loved all the zork games; Defender of the Crown; Pirates!; Legacy of the Ancients; and so many others.

I remember the first computer my dad brought home. The monitor had a 4 color display, which was a big deal at the time. Spent many an hour playing text based games. My favorites were Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Leather Goddesses of Phobos.
Wear gaudy colors, or avoid display. Lay a million eggs or give birth to one. The fittest shall survive, yet the unfit may live. Be like your ancestors or be different. We must repeat!

I've just changed my avatar in honor of this thread. ALthough I am Spazzrico here and just about anywhere else on the web, I used to be Jumpman over at the WOXY boards.

Anyway, the Commodore 64 was my first system. I probably should have learned to do more with it, but for me it was really just a game platform, as I was pretty young.

    Run "JUMPMAN", 8,1

I had a ton of games but only a few I remember well

    Jumpman
    Summer Games 1 and 2
    Wintergames
    Leaderboard Golf
    Beach Head II
    Pitstop
    Yie Ar Kung Fu
    Escape

All great games. I also spent quite a few hours on Skate or Die and Chuck Yeager's flight simulator.

In third grade, which would have been in 1981 or so, I learned programming on a 64.
