Why even throw to the plate when Ross is catching?

43 hits allowed by Belisle in 27.1 innings this year.

    Just more bad luck, right?

If gameday is correct everything he's throwing that is hit are fastballs dead center on the plate between the knee and belt

i said that in his last start and everyone seemed to think he didn't. the belise time in cincinnati needs to end now. 3-0 down early to maddox is a ton.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

This winter a number of RedsZoners argued, using all kinds of stats, that Belisle is a very good fifth starter; a good fourth starter; even a passable third starter. It was the subject of much debate. I wouldn't be surprised if that debate ended very soon.

The Reds need to upgrade the Belisle, Fogg, and Lincoln slots on the pitching staff.

The Pirates beat the Cubs 6-5 in 11 innings today after Alfonso Soriano dropped a flyball with two outs in the 9th. If he catches the ball the Cubs win 5-4 but he apparently lost it in the sun and the ball popped out of his glove and Bixler scored from first base. Jason Bay singled in the 11th to win the game for the Pirates. A win today by the Reds would move them to within 5.5 of the Cubs.
