I can't get the game. For some reason Wilmington, NC is blacked out by mlb. All three games. Can someone give pbp or summaries.
This is not good.
Between them, Strasburg and Cueto had an ERA of about 3 last year.
So, over 6 innings, you'd expect about a 2-2 game.
The Reds #5 starter Leake would give up about 3 runs in those 6 innings, so over a small sample size of 1 game, it's not really a huge difference.
In reality, that's the difference between an ace and a #5.
Meanwhile, Verlander gave up a two-run HR to the Yankees' No. 9 hitter.
Thanks PuffyPig.
Our biggest problem thus far in this early season is getting guys out when we're well ahead in the count early
Does anyone know if that's a cutter coming in at the high 80s for Cueto?
"I never argue with people who say baseball is boring, because baseball is boring. And then, suddenly, it isn't. And that's what makes it great." - Joe Posnanski
When Cueto deals, he can mow 'em down. But I've always thought he's got a lot of moving parts to his motion lending itself to inconsistencies.
Who is the long reliever today?
Cueto is bad today.

That pitch was fine
This could be going better.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
