"This isnt stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner

The age difference is a factor, which is why I stated "at this point in their careers". Frazier's 5 years of maturity should translate into a quicker adjustment to the "sophomore slump" than it would for Robinson, in theory. But, Frazier isn't showing any signs of coming out of the slump and seems determined to go through the rest of the season without making the adjustments, similar to what a 23 or 24 year old might do. It still wouldn't be a bad idea to send him down for two weeks and let Hanahan play 3rd Base. Don't care who takes his place for two weeks. Looks like Ludwick will be here anyway shortly, pushing Frazier's spot in the batting order down, also.
In Phillips defense wasnt he hit on the arm and had about 2 weeks of playing through that
The best remedy for Todd is to play him at home and sit him on the road. Similar to a lot of Reds.
Because Frazier's defense has been very much above average, he's still been an above average player despite his offensive struggles. He has a good chance of still being 3 wins or better by the end of the season. That's certainly not going to kill the team.
If Todd Frazier did this, Redszone would forever have the hugest man crush on him:

As it is, redzoners can only admire and pine for Seager from afar...
And no this post should not be interpreted as somehow bashing Phillips.

his numbers arenīt that bad (little bit below league avg.) => his defence is above average => heīs average on 3rd
the problem with frazier is that heīs also very "streaky" and he looks like someone that got a bat in the hand and tries his first swing...
he swings at the worst pitches sometimes and canīt see or judge the pitches right... he got the same problems last year (for example his homeron while he lost his bat)
at the moment he needs to sit some games (because itīs a mental issue) or see some time in aaa
Remembering Phillips and the HBP that sidelined him multiple games...I still want revenge. That whole series was bushleague BS. Pirate batters should have been bleeding that game.
