Bad baserunning, but a soft liner to short isn't going to cut it with a runner on third and less than two outs, Bruce has to get that run in.

I was not watching, one of the announcers said it was a soft liner. If Bruce hit it solid, then he is not to blame.
Stubbs made a mistake there, but he doesn't make a mistake on the basepaths very often.
