Votto looks to be seething right now. I wonder if he was promised a callup in July if he the team had fallen out of contention? A article a few weeks back, Votto seemed to indicate something of that sort did happen in spring training. Since the all-star break, Votto has not hit well outside 2 games.

I suspect the player anger at the Reds is going through the chains.

Jorgensen has been doing good since he's been to Redszone. Maybe more players need to come here.

Or he could just be in a slump. It does happen.

Bats take game 1 6-4 in 8. Stone blew the save but gets the win, Majewski saves it. Bruce finished 1-4 with the solo HR.

In game two, Joey Votto walked (60th of the year) in his first atbat and Jay Bruce singled to raise his average to .313.

It's the best part of REDSZONE.

    Here's a fun website I noticed from DougDirt's sig:

    http://www.redsminorleagues.com/
Rob Neyer: "Any writer who says he'd be a better manager than the worst manager is either 1) lying (i.e. 'using poetic license') or 2) patently delusional. Which isn't to say managers don't do stupid things that you or I wouldn't."

Which just goes to show that Sep 1st is early enough for bringing him up.

Votto just got thrown out from deep CF.

    That's slow.

Bruce flies out and Tike Redman throws out Votto at home.

Votto must have fallen into a trench in front of home plate to get thrown out on that one, according to gameday at least.

You cant trust gameday, the ball always shows up deeper then it was. It probably was a borderline tag chance and he took it.
