It's not on Dusty at this point, it's on this group of players. Errors and mental gaffes in all three playoff trips they've had. 2010 they were inexperienced. 2012 was a statistical anomaly... or something. This year? I hope I'm wrong and they turn this around, but this feels like a familiar script. And I think it's on them this time.
We've had our differences but I agree completely. Baker will get the blame, but this is on the players, and that includes the stars.

You could argue that the Reds could use a replacement at every position but 1B and RF.

Hamilton will be in CF so at least he'll be new blood. Aside from that they could arguably use a new LF, SS, C and maybe 3B.

They have a great pitching staff and a fourth of an offense. You can't win with that.

Votto just gets blinded by the bright lights of the big stage.

Was just thinking at least if the Reds lose here it won't be a historic loss like 2010 and 2012...

Then I remembered that an away team has yet to lose a wildcard play in game.

I agree. I don't blame Cueto, I don't think he should have been put in that position. I have no doubt he did his best and I see no reason why he should sit and beat himself up. Which in point of fact I'm sure he is beating himself up whether the camera catches a moment of him laughing or not.

Hitters who avoid outs are the funnest.

Wow, Votto completely lost there. Take 2 strikes....swing at the 3rd. 250 million dollars well spent.
