Glad to see Sappelt getting the nod! Janish at 2B is a bit of an odd response to Brandon's injury.

Cairo is hurt. Tommy Helms was traded.

Glad to see Sappelt in the line-up, but hate that its at Yonder's expense. Drew Stubbs is the guy who should sit. Time to find out if Alonso can pass in left, Sappelt can play center and how both hit. We already know that Stubbs is a superior defender who hits like Jonny Gomes when Gomes is in a slump. Keep him on the bench and the Ks out of the record books.

I think Alonso's hurt. He was gimping around the bases after his HR yesterday.

Not sure what is worse. Todd Frazier hitting fifth or the fact that he's probably the best guy in the line-up to do it. 6 thru 9 looks pretty easy for a pitcher to pitch to today.

Stubbs where he should be penciled in until further notice. Perfect place for his skill set.

Against RHP, Stubbs should sit. .230/.303/.352/.655 in 402 PAs with 122 Ks. If Yonder is hurt, I'd play Lewis in LF and at least get a look at Sappelt in CF. Stubbs is accumulating too many Ks. Each K erodes his value that much more. He shouldn't see many more RHP in 2011.

That is saying a lot because I don't see much need to play Lewis anymore, but if Yonder is hurt, its the best idea IMO.

I hope the Cubs don't beat on Bronson Arroyo like a drum today.

The more I watch him and now see the interviews with him, the more I get emotionally attached to Alonso and don't want to see him go anywhere.

Maybe the NL will adopt the DH with the new CBA. Right now its the only way I could justify keeping him.

Sappelt lines out to center on the first pitch.

Sappelt hit it hard and lines out to center.
