I called it -- first place by the 25th. But it looks like it may happen even sooner than that.

Undefeated since he got back. And they've been playing good solid fundamental baseball. Not to mention simply superb pitching.

that was probably the best defensive game i have seen by Mesaraco!! awesome display and if he starts to really hit he can become the Reds starting catcher very soon..

I'd prefer you withhold the celebration until the Reds have won the division

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Sometimes I think the Reds TV guys just say dumb things and then attribute them to Dusty. For example, Pic just said if you have a .500 record on the road and win three-quarters of your games at home, you'll get 90 wins and make the playoffs.

    I'm not a mathematician, but 60+40 is not 90.

Reds' hitters have thrown up this line in the last five games: .175/.263/.287/.550. And the Reds have one all five. The line against Reds' pitchers in that same span: .184/.190/.282.472. Incredible.

    I'm not a mathematician, but 60+40 is not 90.

If you play .500 on the road and .750 at home, your overall winning percentage is going to be .625. Yeah, that will make the playoffs.

Didn't you predict that we'd go on a streak about 5 games ago?

I remember that post and I gave you a hard time about it...especially after the St. Louis series and us not looking that great even though we won 2 out of 3 against the Padres.

It would be a great comeback jumping over 2 possible playoff teams.
