At my last game before driving to Vegas and catching a red eye home. Salt River Field. Best stadium out here in my mind. AlfRod playing. Still no Trammel.

If you have the time, stop at Hoover Dam on your way to Vegas. It's worth the side trip.
Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

Been there before a long time ago
Won't have time today. Saw a great viewpoint for lake mead on way down. If they have one going north I'll stop for a shot.

Surprise scored 4 times in the bottom of the 8th to cut the Glendale lead to 10-8. Glendale responded with some insurance runs in the top of the 9th. Eleven of them in fact.

It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.
It was a tale of two units out in the desert air last night.
Reds' hitting prospects went 1-14 with 5 Ks. Shed Long (.205) - 0 for 3 with a walk. Alfredo Rodriguez (.200) - 0 for 4. Taylor Trammell (.250) - 1 for 4. Mark Koloszvary (.167) - 0 for 3.
Reds' pitching prospects threw 3 scoreless innings, fanning 6 in the process. Wyatt Strahan - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K. Ty Boyles (2.84) - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K. Alex Powers (2.00) - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K.
To be fair, there is not a whole lot of hitting going on for that Scottsdale squad. 14 of the 18 position players have OPS's of .630 or less.
Reds' players: Trammell (.621), Long (.564), Rodriguez (.485) and Koloszvary (.408).

Alf Rod, Long, and Trammel are overmatched out in Arizona. Not ideal
Alfredo Rodriguez was the DH last night. He went 0-4 with 3 Ks. Noodles has a higher OBP (.228) than SLG (.222). That's hard to do.
Ty Bowles pitched a scoreless 2/3s of an inning.
Austin Orewiler had a nice outing his last time out. He went 4 innings and allowed just one run.
