Sulbaran struckout the first two batters he faced in the second inning, then allowed a single, followed by two walks and then finally the third out.

I went back and checked, it was 16-1.

So in his last 2 starts, Zach has a GO/FO ratio of. . . .27:1.

So Stewart's not going back to the bullpen anytime soon is he?

Stubbs is 1-for-2 with a single, two walks, and a SB.

My plan is to do some talking to some people in the organization by next week to find out for sure... but you just can't ignore what he has done.

I still think the Reds should seriously try to trade Maloney now while his stock is at an all time high. The Reds don't plan to use him at the major league level...I think it's time.

I think the Reds may very well plan to use him at the major league level depending on what happens in the rotation with Bailey and Owings. If Bailey takes over the number 5, shows he can hold onto it, that may trigger a later trade of Arroyo--then Maloney will compete with Owings for the number 5 spot (or at least provide a posssible backup #6). There are still a lot of things that can happen.

Ok so I'm on the Stewart bandwagon hard core now.

I've been on the Stewart bandwagon. I'm thinking Walt had him a draft last year: Alonso, Stewart, Sulbaran, Buchholz, Fairel et. al.

This is a big outing for the organization. Other than Homer B, not sure the Reds have a first, second, or third starter candidate in the high minors. If Stewart can fill that role, it could impact the draft, possible trades, etc. Don't want to get too carried away on one outing, but it's an important start for the organization. Nice work by Stewart.

It should never impact the draft. Stewart impressed me tonight though. I am waiting on another report from someone who was there, but the radio reports sounded very good.

Agree: only one way to draft, BPA.
