This is what you get when you have an archaic manager that has no ability to read a game. He manages every game the same damn way. He understands roles and just plugs in and fires away.

Today is on him because of how he has managed all week. He just stinks at his job.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Very true. I agree. But my point is that there is a pretty obvious reason that is HELPING these guys struggle. Mismanagement of the pen. At the end of the day it's up to the pitchers to get the job done, but it's the job of the manager to put them in the best position possible to succeed. I love Dusty, but this past week or 2 he has NOT done this well at all.

They are less than optimal performers at their profession.

No, but he's far from confident right now. And it's not rust as much as it's command at this point. That can take quite a while if you haven't pitched in a while. Combine that with the Pirates batters zeroed in.

He can't magically make bad pitchers good. Hoover being "overused" is a redszone excuse made for one of their beloved. He's probably been over worked a little, but he's likely just not very good.

Broxton is just having a bad day. It happens.

Watching people blame Dusty for literally everything that happens gets tiresome. If the Reds don't win, it's always Dusty's fault.

Hard to say. Usually giving up 4 runs with 2 home runs gets you yanked from a game. But not with Dusty!

Anyone complaining today will not be invited to my World Series party in October. So there.
