He's not a rookie, and he has done pretty okay against the Cardinals before.
He pitched seven innings of shutout ball with 9 Ks and 0 BBs in his last AAA rehab start.
I wouldn't mind that from the team if they went that route. I love what Leake has given the team this year (and when they needed it badly too, with EV out to start the year), but I fear Leake is at the wear-down point. I really don't like the match-up between him and that Cards line-up...

Really nice to see Bruce get back on track. I love the day by Gomes. Janish continues to hit. And Wood was just filthy until the wheels came off at the end. Fun day.
Do you have a doctor's report that states that Bailey's injury was from pitching too many innings last year? Or is EVERY injury due to overuse in some sort of way?
I suppose Cabrera's injury is from too many ABs this year, aka swinging too many times?
