Great point bounty! The Reds players may be taking the high road here and wait for their day in court. They decided not to use the media to try and influence the jury like the Cardinals.

I have a friend who works in the WLW sports department and he said there is more to the brawl than is being told to the media and that the Reds players were told to keep it under wraps. Apparently Dusty and Rolen have some very important information to convey to Bud Selig.

The Cardinals are going to take their share of being punished in this one, as instigators and some out of line words and slurs directed at Dusty and Scott.

Larussa fights his battles in the press. The Reds have class and will take it to the commissioner.

That's the point of a suspension. To penalize the player monetarily.

MLB isn't interested in penalizing the team overall, to not having a players services. They're interested in penalizing the player.
