Loved that scene in Bull Durham!
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Strausberg getting rocked again. Cards already up 3-0 in the first.

It sounded like a few well placed bloops. The Cards luck continuing more than rocking anyone.

See. They are going to futz around with this game all afternoon and it'll either end up being a rainout or they won't get finished till late this afternoon or early evening. If they called it a rainout like I suggested, it would be a win-win situation. Heck, the Cubs have to go play in Miami tomorrow. They are in the same boat as we are. They would probably love to get out of here at a decent time and rest up for the Marlins game on Thursday.

MLB Network here in Cincinnati is trying to show the game but appears to be having technical difficulties. It keeps flickering in and out of the game. I'm hoping that it sticks pretty soon.

Home plate ump Jordan Baker doesn't have a strike zone chart from 2012. Is he new this year?

Here's the chart from one of his recent games. Seems wide, but doesn't give the high strike.

The Cubby announcers said he was a replacement ump and only his 2nd year doing that.
