We won that trade and its not even close. Latos is turning into a beast and hes only what 25? No one is talking about him but at 13-4 with an ERA at 2.93 he has turned into a true ace.

We won that trade the day it was made and nothing that happened after it would have changed it.

What's strange is that he has 2 mechanical issues that could easily be fixed. I'm just wondering if he's like some players who don't take very well to instruction.
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...

Or Bryan Price may think his mechanics are fine...

Or they think the results matter more than the mechanical flaw.

Hmmmmm. That would make more sense. The fact that Team Clark didn't quote made me think he was talking about Latos, as it was Latos mentioned in the post prior

The trade has worked out well for the Reds. I liked it at the time, and like it even more now.

But it's absurd to say the Reds won the trade the day it was made, IMO. Latos could have blown out his shoulder in spring training, and the 4 players the Reds gave up could have prospered in a big way. I don't score trades until the players play baseball. I may like or dislike them, understand the rationale or not, but I'm going to wait to assess the benefits to the franchise until the baseball happens.

You just made smug sound really funny. Well done, Doug.

Yes Volquez. I should have clarified.
