Was at a bar tonight, and my wife and I were the only two people watching the Reds game (every other TV was turned to replays of last week's Cornhusker game...yes, seriously). Our cheering got so loud that every person in the place was looking at us like we were crazy.

I'm watching the game from the 9th inning on right now thanks to MLB.TV, LOL forever at George Grande talking about the difference between offense in baseball and basketball and football and using OJ SIMPSON as his football reference point.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

It seems to be an annual August-September thing now. It reminds me of when we were the young team trying to catch the Cardinals. We would get angry and then the wheels would fall off. I am starting to think plunking him is a strategy for the Reds.

I laughed at that as well. Of all the names he could have used, he used OJ??

You may be better off. This stuff gets so nerve-racking sometimes it's painful to watch.

Great win. Reds need to focus on Latos and get him back to form for the playoffs.

Very pleased that Frazier, Cozart and Mes contributed on offense tonight in big spots.

Re: 9/20/13 - Reds vs. Pirates

I was away tonight (high school football game--Cambridge won 27-25 at East Liverpool), but I recorded the game, and just got done watching!

FYI, East Liverpool is on the Pennsylvania border, and most of their people are Pirates fans. The PA announcer even gave an update during halftime, "In the fifth inning--Cincinnati 2, AND THE BUCCOS 4!!!" However, since he gave no other updates the rest of the game, I suspected that the Reds had come back and at least tied it up.

    What a comeback!
