He threw 114 pitches in 6 plus innings today.
Tigers have had some problems scoring recently (sound familiar?). Verlander is the kind of pitcher who tries to do too much sometimes when the team is doing poorly.

Is there any middle ground between being an apologist and thinking everything Dusty does is wrong?

    Hanigan singles up the middle.

Earth to Jocketty: the timer has gone off on Cairo. You don't have to wait two years like you did with Rolen. He's done.

Reds' sac bunting continues to haunt. Arroyo can't get the bunt down and then grounds into a double play.

Just a question for you guys as we go through this game. I think everyone feels like our bench is quite a hindrance. What players do we currently have in the system, either on the 40-man or not, that you'd like to see up with the Reds in some capacity? I have to admit I have not kept up with our farm system very much this year.

Brett Michael loops a single to start the Houston half of the fifth.

Reds' farm system doesn't look like much help in 2012.

Well, that's a question that people here actually have the capability to answer. So feel free if you wish.

Single. First and 3rd with nobody out. Arroyo needs to buckle down.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I mean, for all the people we as fans want sent down or gotten rid of, do we really have any answers ready to help out in their places?

Why is it every team in baseball has a million left handed hitters, and we can only come up with two?
