    Wilson no longer in camp

Sounds like he failed the physical

    From John Fay:

    Wilson no longer in camp

Outfielder/frist base Craig Wilson is no longer in camp. He was here yesterday for his physical, so that tells you something. The Reds haven't announced anything, but they likely will soon.

Wilson was expected to compete for a backup role as a right-handed bat off the bench

I bet he's wishing he had studied for his blood test.

I figured fat and/or out of shape. Never considered that possibility. Either way, I'm not sure what impact he really would have had on the MLB team.

I'll never forget the Craig Wilson era of the Reds.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I might pick up one of his jerseys, since they are probably marked down now.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Hasn't he been dealing with a shoulder injury for the last few years?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Yeah, remember that day when he went 3 for......uh I mean, remember the game he threw out the runner at third with....uh no, nevermind.

remember the size of that bass he caught in the pond outside the fences waiting on his lab results. That thing was huge.

There's rumors of a book deal circulating around this afternoon. Seems as if some publishers are already putting bids in too.

Honest question....If you are not a pitcher, How exactly do you fail a physical?
"Even a bad day at the ballpark beats the snot out of most other good days. I'll take my scorecard and pencil and beer and hot dog and rage at the dips and cheer at the highs, but I'm not ever going to stop loving this game and this team and nobody will ever take that away from me." Bad knee. In Wilson's case, probably a bad shoulder. Could be something else.
