    Phillies @ Reds - Wednesday - 08/31/2011

    Phillips
    Sappelt
    Votto
    Bruce
    Cairo
    Stubbs
    Hernandez
    Janish
    D-Train

    vs. Cliff Lee.
Insignificant trivia: Cliff Lee's middle name is Phifer.
Significant trivia: Cliff Lee could well be the pitcher of the month for August. 4-0 in 4 starts. 31IP 17H 2ER 7BB 32K. xFIP? Probably miniscule.
Small sample size fact. Reds have had mucho success against Cliff Lee. http://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...=1&submitter=1

Pre-game question: Who gets more total bases - Janish, D-Train, Sappelt, Stubbs or Cairo????

If at first you don't succeed.......

If I am Yonder I walk, I mean I pack up, tell Walt he will see him AZ come Feb and say good bye. What could the Reds do? They are not playing him and not paying him that much.

D-Train comes into the game with a 3.8 BB/9. And walks the first batter. Living on the edge when you pitch like that.

Willis walks the first two. Utley and Howard licking their chops.

Geez. Willis' fastball is in the mid-80s.

Willis gets a groundball but the Reds can only force the runner at second.

Need another ground ball. 3-6-whoa! A mixup at first on the return throw and they don't get Howard. Run scores. Fundamentally sound.

Pence lines hard to Stubbs. One run scored that shouldn't have. Oh well. Nine innings left to get it back.

One back-to-back singles and another fundamentally unsound play on a bunt by Lee loads them up.
