"The name of the game is 'Win.' You're always going to try to find something you're not doing. It depends on how your outlook in life is. Are you a half-empty or half-full person? I find that most people are half-empty people. I don't deal with them. I don't listen to them." - Dusty Baker

I was reading this quote by Dusty and had to laugh. If you find that MOST people are half empty, doesn't that by definition make you a "glass is half empty person"?

Any one still on the Valdez train? I'd send him packing today, and I am not even a knee jerk type of guy.

In Valdez' defense, its been a long season and it would have been asking a lot for him to bend down a few inches to field that ball.

This is the crap that got St. Louis in the playoffs last year.

    Thanks Fletcher.

My guess is that Valdez is in the early ground ball line tomorrow.

    Get em tomorrow.

Valdez is a solid backup defensive player, it was a play he'd make 99/100 times. He shouldn't have been in there though, Phillips got himself tossed.

And Marshall was the one who made that whole mess. He's been making a habit of doing that lately.

Taking bets on who starts the panic thread since we lost one game to the Astros.

Lol ...Valdez was near the OF grass and that ball barely rolled into the OF grass.

That maybe saved us a few hours of life.

There's a reason that Phillips has never been tossed in a decade.....he mumbled at most. Ridiculous that he was tossed....and it deserved a look

Also , the game might have gone on forever and somebody might have gotten hurt so maybe Valdez and Marshall saved our season.
