I can't really find an appropriate thread over in the other forum to make this point and maybe someone already noted this. Looking at the relievers yesterday, they pitched exactly nine innings between the two games. Six relievers pitched shutout ball - spread six hits around with five walks They had 13 K's, including six for J.J. Hoover. Chapman got the save and extended his streak of consecutive relief outings with at least one strikeout. Excellent job by our relief corps yesterday. Well done.

Reading through the game thread, and if the Reds play anymore doubleheaders this is what they should do instead of running the likes of Redmond or Holmberg or somebody out there. Us the extra man to call up another bullpen arm, and just go with a bullpen day.
Also, something that didn't get enough play in here is Leake (a pitcher) going 1st to 3rd on a single to LF in the ninth. Awesome.

The bullpen ERA is 0.00 since the visit from The Nasty Boys on Monday. If they do that for the rest of the season, I bet that'd be some sort of record.
Noticed that the playoff percentage chart at BP moved the Reds up to 44% today. Somehow the Cubs have gone from 1% to 0% in the past day. I'm not sure how that's possible on July 9th, but they are the Cubs.
