Any update on Votto? Is he able to PH today?

I like the way he stood up for his teammates for the AS team. Very leaderish.

I agree. For those who missed it....

“It’s kind of difficult to be overly happy today, considering the two guys I thought were shoo-ins aren’t going to be on the team,” he said. “That’s frustrating. I knew I was going to be an All-Star. I was hoping those two guys, the five of us, would go to Kansas City. As much as I don’t want to get into pissing contest right now, as happy as I am for myself and Jay, I’m disappointed for the two guys who are very, very meaningful to this first-place ballclub.”

Arroyo strikes out. So far 9 up and 9 down for the Reds. 0-0 mid 3rd.

I also liked the way Dusty stood up for the players as well:

“A snub like that looks bad. Johnny and Brandon were at the center of skirmish between us and the Cardinals. Some of Cardinals who aren’t there anymore are making some of the selections.”

In 8 starts at SF this year, Vogelson's OPS against is .555. Include the fact that Votto isn't playing. Include the fact that the Reds have only one lefty hitter other than Votto (although Vogelsong is tough against both righties and lefties). Include the fact that Arroyo's run support this season is among the worst in the league.

It would be a great game to win for the Reds, uphill battle.

Theriot singles down the right field line. Bruce's arm keeps him to a single.

What I was thinking as well KC. This would be a great game for the Reds to steal.....hoping someone steps up, and our staff can grind it out.

That 0-2 pitch to Theriot may come back to hurt.
