September Call-ups From Days Gone By

With the announcement of the 2013 call-ups, I got to wondering about who, and what some of the past players were, and how they performed down the stretch.

    2012:http://cincinnati.com/blogs/reds/201...unce-call-ups/

    *Logan Ondrusek: 8.1 IP, 10 H, 3 ER, 6 BB, 7 K
    Pedro Villarreal: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, K
Todd Redmond: Did not play as far as I can tell.

    *Devin Mesoraco: 1-3
Henry Rodriguez: 214/313/286 played in 12 games with one start.
Denis Phipps: 300/364/700 played in 8 games with 2 starts.
Didi Gregorius: 300/300/300 played in 8 games with 4 starts.

    * Due to Mesoraco's suspension Ondrusek was optioned to AAA through part of August.

Man, it's easy to forget how solid Volquez was before the playoffs in 2010.

Yeah those numbers surprised me too. I had forgotten how well he was pitching coming off TJ down the stretch.
