    Rhadames Quezada

Another fine start tonight from Rhadames Quezada in Billings. 5 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 W, 4K. Now at 3.83 ERA, with 55 K's and only 12 W's in 49.1. Also with a nice 1.47 GO/AO. 21 year old that I haven't heard much about. What do we know about him? Looking pretty interesting to me.

Billings nearly pulled off a third straight shutout, winning 4-1. The organization has been getting some awfully nice pitching lately.

When I ranked the starting pitchers at the end of last year, I had Quezada at No. 26, just ahead of Mitchell Clarke and Eliezer Beard and two spots behind J.C. Sulbaran. I had Stalin Gerson at 33. For what that's worth.

An even nicer surprise might be Tim Crabbe. Also Clarke.

While we're at it, anyone know what's become of Jesus Adames?

Isn't the California league a hitters league as well? I know that centerfield in Bakersfield is very short (350 ft if I can remember correctly).

350 to center? There's no way that's right. Is there?

The Pioneer League and California League are among the best hitters leagues in the minors.
