    Is that a "bold" prediction?

Both Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain will suffer season-ending injuries against the Reds.

Jr will suffer a season-ending injury against the Giants.

    In the same series?

    That'd be a rough series.

Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo will combine to throw 475 innings -- with Harang leading the charge at 250 IP.

Both will see significant DL time in 2009.

Aaron Harang will lead the league in innings, k's and wins...and place 8th in the Cy Young voting.

On a serious note....I see Dusty getting overachievement out of these guys in year one to get them into the playoffs.

    Bold?

    EE has a break-out year.

    Cueto ROY.

    Dunn signs LTC.

And best of all...the Redlegs win 90 games, and gather steam for a BIG TIME run in 2009.

I was only 7 years old in 1968, but this team is starting to remind me of the late 60's Reds...good things, very good things, on the horizon....

Bill Bray and Todd Coffey surprise in the bullpen, but Francisco Cordero disappoints.

Edinson Volquez places second on the team in innings pitched, behind Harang.

Adam Dunn hits fewer than 40 HR, but drives in over 115 runs.

Edwin Encarnacion goes in and out of Dusty's doghouse three times.

Jay Bruce arrives in June, starts by July.

Homer Bailey spends the year in AAA.

Corey Patterson leads the team in stolen bases.

I think if Jeff Keppinger turns into Albert Pujols mixed with A-Rod (as you suggest), I think he'll make the All-Star game as a SS in the NL.

Adam Dunn strikes out 250 times. Just out of spite.
