That's a rare moment for the Reds to get Presley out. That guy has it in for the Reds (.850 OPS lifetime vs. the Reds, .723 against everyone).

Notes of the game for me...

    Frazier hitting the ball
Cozart continuing to hit the ball
BP hopefully isn't hurt to bad from the HBP
    Sammy pitches like a boss
    Broxton is a heart attack
Leake gets a win, Leake does well
    Chappy makes me happy

That's a strawman if I've ever seen one. Now apparently if you're not as good as one of the 2-3 best relievers in the game of baseball, you suck.

The stats about May have to do with whether Broxton is 'fine' recently. There's no evidence to suggest he's not. If you want to look at sample sizes.... sure, go ahead and look at Broxton's whole career. That would only help my case.

I realize he's not as dominant as he was before the injury. But even looking at Broxton in the last two seasons alone, he's still a decent pitcher.

Here are his stats as a Reds' pitcher:

    43 2/3 IP
    3.50 ERA
    3.5:1 K:BB
    0.61 HR/9
    3.22 FIP

    Those are solid numbers.
I can't say I trust Broxton, but he's not "hot garbage." Had a long, stressful day and I just sat down to check the game status and I see Broxton in trouble.

My post to you was unnecessarily confrontational and I apologize.

That's two straight shutouts of Pittsburgh by the Reds, btw.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

It's all the more sweet considering the way the game started, with the Pirates starter tying a franchise record by striking out seven in a row.

BTW, the long socks-- a throwback also to the ol' Cincinnati Red Stockings?

Chapman pitched as shaky as Broxton. If Broxton is a heart attack then Chapman is a pending coronary lately.

Completely fair. I think we're all guilty of overreactions in the heat of the moment, which is mostly my point about some of the comments in these game threads. Someone overreacts. Someone overreacts to the overreaction. It's a vicious cycle. Nonetheless, my kudos to this response. You owed me no apology but I appreciate it anyhow.

No, you were owed it. Thanks for being gracious. A Longhammer to you as well.
