    The Jackson batter who walked in the 5th was picked off. The Jackson batter who singled in the 7th was caught stealing. Cingrani has faced the minimum 21 batters over 7 innings.

    Billings just put up 4 in the third--two of them on a double by the increasingly interesting Jesse Winker--to tie it up. Still only one out.

    Well, do you let Cingrani pitch the ninth? He's thrown 100 pitches through eight.

    AA === Big Dogs,

    I'd run him out there...I'd feel better if this was his 2nd full professional season.

    Hamilton starts it off with a single and #93. Bakersfield scores 4 in the first, capped by a 2-run double from Dominic D'Anna.

    Cingrani is removed for Curtis Partch: 8 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 15 K. One pickoff. He faced 25 batters.

    Applause.

    I can't really disagree with taking him out. He gave up two hits in the eighth, and his strikeouts were slowing down, which suggests he was tiring. Why risk a tired pitcher in his first full season of starting?

    Great Falls isn't too shabby. Their first six hitters go as follows: .333-.429-.375-.444-.333-.357. Expect some runs tonight.
