But Latos is very effective and is still young. Has the makings of an ace IMO.
    2010 - averaged 5.94 innings per start
    2011 - averaged 6.26 innings per start

    Hopefully the trend continues.

Two Ks to start the inning by Latos.

This kid throws like a real starting pitcher. Win or lose today, I'm very pleased with Latos.

    Nuenheis singles, Wright up.

Interesting scout stat that just popped up on Gameday. Latos holds batters to a .208 average within the first 45 pitches. They hit .340 after that.

Steal of second. Full count to Wright hitting .407. Walks, two on.

Another high count inning, 19 in the 3rd, and he's up to 56 already.

Yeah, but he has five strikeouts in three innings. He should be good for six, possibly seven.

    Stubbs Ks, which happens sometimes.

Teams are going to start intentionally walking Votto with nobody on. That will force Walt and Dusty's hand on the cleanup spot.

No it won't. Dusty will insist on a right handed veteran hitter there.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Well, maybe we'll get a better right handed veteran hitter.

Votto is the only one who can hit a knuckler apparently. There's your run Latos. Holdem.
