That was a weird game. Seemed like an easy win, and became a hard fought victory

He threw one in the weekend series but they are rare anymore.

You are more than three times more likely to have struck out against Chapman (52) than reach base by hit, walk or HBP (17).

Not that he needed it tonight, but if he could develop a change up...

Aroldis Chapman is now within two batters of having struck out half the hitters he's faced this year (52/106).

Chapman reminds me so much of Randall Kirk Meyers closing, only turbocharged. All left-handed heat on the black.

That's just downright evil. Chapman with a changeup? That might cause a game change like lowering the mound back in 1.12's day. (I don't call him "Gibson" anymore)

The 9th inning wasn't very hard fought. That was a surrender on the Pirates part

Why would you want him to develop a 3rd pitch? I know everybody says he's going to need it to be a starter, but he's not a normal pitcher. I think he can be a good/great starter throwing two pitches.

In his last 7 appearances Chapman has now pitched 8.2IP without giving up a hit and only walking 2. He has also struck out 16 in those last 7 games.

In 29 innings pitched Chapman has given up only 7 hits, 9 walks and has struck out 52. Just incredible numbers.
