Looked like the slider everybody always wants Chapman to throw.

    Good game good effort

Props to Lucroy fouling off everything then somehow destroying a slider.

Give credit where credit is due. The Reds lost this as a team.

Chapman isn't nearly as good as his reputation suggests.

I've never seen a fielder regress like Votto this year. It's almost unbelievable.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Chapman's ERA is 3.10 now. He may throw hard and make everyone go "whoaaaa" at the park but his overall numbers are pretty much no better than Cordero when he was here.

Pretty ballies for the team whos at the bottom of the division to hold up the number one sign. Yeah I'm bitter but I'd remind him with a pitch to the ribs tomorrow who the big dogs are

So much for over-using Chapman. He can't get by on guile. If he's tired, he's not nearly as.good.

This is always going to be a problem with Chapman as long as he throws so many fastballs. Hitters will sit dead-red on him especially if runners are on base and they know he doesn't trust his slider. You can't throw 10 fastballs in a row and the hitters know it's coming. All it takes with his velocity is to connect with one and he's going to surrender the long ball.

He's really good on top of his game, but no one is good enough to keep throwing ol' No. 1 pitch after pitch.
"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
