It must have been a long, cold winter. Today is Friday. No worries. I made the same mistake on yesterday's MILB game thread.
Oops - I am so used to the Bats opening on a Thursday!
Thanks!
Jason Bourgeois gets a double, but the Bats do not score in the first inning!
Home run Mike Costanzo! Bats lead 1 -0!
Ruben Gotay doubles, and Corky Miller singles him in - 2-0 Bats lead!
Neal, Iribarren and F Perez in 2014 need to have BIG years to progress in the Reds organization. Neal could be a 4th OF next year in Cincinnati. Other players I want to have a great year in AAA are: LaMarre, Jumbo Diaz, Hyde, Holmberg, Corcino, Rogers, Josh Smith, Crabbe, Contreras, Negron, Barnhart, Bell and Lutz. Our farm system will continue to get stronger and the Reds depth will provide production if these players have good seasons.
Ruben Gotay singles in Mike Wilson - 3-0 Bats!
The game is in the bottom of the 8th and the Louisville leads 3-1. Jeff Francis went six strong, shutout innings, giving up four hits and whiffing six. He did not walk a batter. Sharky came on in the seventh and pitched an inning and a third. Ex-Bat Mike Hessman doubled. Corky Miller was charged with a passed ball. A sac fly brought home the run. Lee Hyde and Pedro Villarreal have followed Rogers here in the 8th. Villarreal walked the first man he faced and then struck out the next batter. On to the ninth, Bats lead 3-1.
Mike Costanzo has doubled and homered. Bourgeois and Gotay have singled and doubled. Mike Wilson has doubled as well.
Jumbo couldn't throw a strike and loaded the bases, but still saved the game! Bats win 3-1!
Dayton leads 7-3 in the 4th.

Romano was going well through the first three innings, but things got out of hand in the 4th.
Rahier has a HR.
Elizalde has a hit and a walk.
Hudson has two hits.
Ervin either has a night off, or his sitting the game out for some reason.
