I shrugged off the last couple games, but this loss stings quite a bit.

Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap and say "well played". Outstanding pitching on both sides, excellent defense on both sides...it's an old saying, but neither team deserved to lose this game. Get 'em next game boys.
Yep. When your pitchers have to be perfect...you're not going to win many games like this. At some point, your team has to round the bases and step on home plate.

Bruce in a funk? 2 run homer Thursday and a home run Saturday.

Yeah, I said ouch. So much good pitching.

Not getting a split after pitching as well as they did in LA really hurts. 1-3 is a tough pill to swallow in this series only giving up 8 ER in 4 games+ to the hottest team in baseball.

I step away for 1/2 an inning to 'entertain' the wife and we lose. My bad.

Any word on when Marshall, Broxton and Cueto might be back?

Reds third in NL runs scored in July.
But sure, the offense is the suck.

Not sure what that makes the 12 other teams in the NL

He didnt hit a game winning HR today which erases his home runs earlier this series.

Particularly considering the way Cingrani and the bullpen stepped up. This game was there for the taking. I am beginni8ng to think they don't have what it takes, talent wise and mentally wise.

3 for his last 15, and 2 of the 3 long ones. He shows signs of a funk, but I hope it isn't true.

Yesterday there were seven shutouts in baseball, and four 1-0 games. The Reds are hardly alone with the offensive struggles. The game has changed. Embrace it.
