The Nats and Reds are about even in position players, Cincy better RF (for now), 1B
The Nats better a C, 3B, LF
Other spots pretty even
Cueto is only starter that makes their rotation
We would have much preferred a full swing and miss.
But your right, it was a BS call, cause you never know...yea 98% chance he makes the last out, IMO. But he may have plunked him or threw a 100 mph fast ball and hit the barrel of Ludwicks bat.
Rodriguez throws every bit as fast as Chapman. WOW!
Duhhhsty strikes again
I know a lot of folks look down their noses at small BUT if this team is going to be involved in a lot of close, low-scoring games, it would behoove this team to become proficient at it. One run in a 2-1 or 3-2 game is huge. Learn to bunt. Learn to sacrifice. Learn to choke up and make contact when guys are in scoring position and there are less than two outs. Take pitches. Take a walk. Use your brain when you are on the bases.
But nope. We are in store for more strikeouts. Boneheaded base running. First-pitch swinging. We are not gonna clog those bases. And we definitely are not gonna walk our way out of this slumps.
2012 is starting to look pretty much like 2011.
