Home Run by Yorman Rodriguez also. Stangs brought the lumber tonight.

A rough AA debut for Boxberger. Gave up three runs in the eighth. Fortunately, Carolina was up 9-1 at the time.

Brodie Greene is 4 for 5 for Lynchburg, which leads 9-1. James Avery fanned 7 in 5 innings.

Nice to see Duran hit the ball early.

Yea Ive been one of the people saying I think you should trade the guy if you get the chance. I think hes a valuable pitcher and could probably have a nice career but if hes a part you add in for some of the other pitchers out there I do it. Then again id probably hold him back if Cliff Lee was the return, especially if Volquez comes back throwing darts.

Ronald Torreyes and Samuel Diaz each had three hits today for the VSL Reds, who won 5-1. They're hitting .387 and .357, respectively.

Honestly sounds like a good start with a bad finish. 7 innings of 1 run? Ill take that.

They're moving Boxberger to the bullpen? I don't like it. Not yet, anyway. He handled the starting role quite well in High-A. I'd keep him starting until he proves he can't handle it.

In Carolina's 11-4 win, Dave Sappelt was 3 for 5 with a 3B and a HR. He's hitting .333. Tom Cochran had another solid start.

Home runs by Juan Duran and Yorman Rodriguez in the same game. I hope we see that happen quite often.

Mesoraco went 2-for-5 and also picked off a runner.

Im guessing its because his schedule got messed up for the All Star game the threw in. Who knows for sure though.
