My guess is that speeds up the trade talk for Dunn and/or Jr. I get the sneaking suspicion that the F.O. took the opportunity to move up Bruce in order to get a quick peek to see if they could possibly make a deal at the end of July only to bring Jay up about mid-august. Heck they may even move him back down to AA just to help create the illusion that it was what they said it was, and we all know he deserves to stay in AAA at this point.

Jay had a strange game fans 1st 2 at bats , then homers in 7th and 8th of course 2nd inning k was vs Curt Schilling on rehab. He's now had 30 ab's at L'ville 7 hits , 3 singles , a triple , 3 homers, 3 rbi's , 4 walks, 8 k's counting 2 tonight. He's hit quite a few balls hard for outs the entire L'ville lineup has been struggling. Hopefully the Reds will leave him at AAA for experience . He tore up A and AA , challange him.

If my calculations are correct, The Boss is dancing in the dark to the tune of a .924 OPS after tonight's game.

    That was a reach.

Sounds like he needs to stay in AAA the rest of the year

Seriously, Chris Heisey is looking to be a great pick for the round he was taken in.

He had to face Curt Schilling his first two abs and many people can say they struck out against him.

Yeah, but how many can say they hit a HR off of him? Jay did that in ST this year. Curt got him back today though.

Just go back from the game. Gonzalez was wild, but he didn't get alot of help from his defense. DeJesus really looked good. He impressed me.

Stubbs had a good game. Impressive approach at the plate. Just barely missed a great grab in CF. Francisco made another error, but he showed off his power and some pretty good speed tonight.

Heisey's homer was a freaking bomb.

    Going back tomorrow.

Didn't Jay also face Roger Clemens recently? Perhaps it was last season on the Rocket's way up through the minors to get in shape. A couple of good guys to get an AB against.
