Sooo.... You may have already touched on this in the thread, but I haven't read all of it. Beg forgiveness if you did. :P Did Leake, in your opinions, make a play to keep his job or do you think Cingrani will stay up, and Leake will be moved?

I was flipping back and forth between Criminal Minds and the game, and from what I saw, Leake was a bit shakey and defense saved his fanny a few times.

Leake did nothing to hurt his case at all. He was very good. Some bleeder hits here and there, a few well hit balls, but he did a great job of limiting the damage every inning.

However, Dusty did speak with him for quite a while during the pitching change. It was certainly a break from the normal routine from Dusty...so it might be a sign. I hope not, but considering the circumstances...it does make me wonder.

Quickly 2-0. Mesoraco coming out to calm him down. Aroldis looks kinda pissed.

I don't care how fast you bring it....major league hitters are going to hit it....even if it is the Marlins. Gotta mix up some pitches.

I would keep Leake and send Cingrani down to work on secondary stuff. Leake is not hurting this team one bit right now, and we may reap dividends later from giving Tony some more seasoning.

I like Chapman, but dang, he scares the he&& out of me when he pitches after a few too many days off......

Dusty needs to get his head out of his fanny and use him occasionally even in non-save situations....

1 slider thus far. Too big a weapon to not use it IMO.
